PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

New Hope Youth Center provides trauma-informed short term and long term residential treatment to females ages 10 to 17 who have been a victim of abuse and or neglect. Our youth may present with mental health and or behavioral needs requiring care in a structured, therapeutic setting.

We are a 24 hour, 7 days a week, 365 days a year facility. Our goal is to treat, heal and provide continuing support as the youth take part in a community environment. The program includes educational services and support, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy to address behavioral and emotional issues that are interfering with the youth and family’s ability to be successful at home.

We spend a great deal of time with each youth. We focus on engaging and supporting families from the youth’s initial placement to begin planning for youth’s transition to a safe, stable, and nurturing family. The typical stay at New Hope Youth Academy is 6 to 9 months but may be longer depending on the youth’s response to treatment.

PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY & GOALS

New Hope Youth Center provides programs and treatment services to address individualized mental health, and some underlying substance abuse. Youth participate in individual, family, and group therapy sessions, social and life skills training. Services are provided in caring environments that promote and ensure emotional and physical safety of all youth, at all times. The anticipated average length of stay depends on the youth’s pace of success in completing the individualized treatment plan and goals as well as finding a suitable aftercare placement. The programs goal is to equip youth for successful reintegration into the community to live productive lives.
