Ocala Youth Academy’s Equine Program Director and our equine volunteer, Mr. Vergara, are keeping the horses in training during the pandemic restrictions. Mr. Vergara’s extensive training skills will keep our horses in an even better position to serve our youth when they return. He is providing expert advice on the type of training that we should add to the regime on the days he is not here. In the meantime, the Equine Program students have been provided equine science materials for them to work on while they stay on campus during the pandemic.

The Administrators at Ocala would like to welcome our new staff to the team! The first training class for the month of August started with eight new employees. They’re all excited and were each greeted by the management team.

Recently, Ms. Williams, Administrative Assistant at Ocala Youth Academy, organized an art project to show her appreciation to the staff. The project consisted of tie-dying face masks. Special thanks to Ms. Williams, as well as the Early Learning Coalition.
