TCSI – Houston

The CSI-Houston is a residential treatment and outpatient program for adolescents ages 12 to 17 whose psychological and emotional disorders, substance abuse and/or history of trauma have impaired their behavioral functioning and adversely impacted their everyday home, school and community environments. The residential program is a 44-bed program where the average length of stay is 6 to 9 months, depending on the youth’s needs. Services are provided 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The outpatient program accepts up to 30 adolescents with an average program length of 8 weeks. 

Program services include a 44-slot residential program (24-hour care), and outpatient program accepting up to 30 adolescents. The residential program is one of the few freestanding dual-diagnosis adolescent residential treatment centers in Texas.

Residential Treatment Services include weekly individual, family, and group psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, substance abuse treatment, prevention, education, and intervention, anger management, as well as AA/NA programs, a psychiatrist available 24 hours per day for medication management and consultation, and an aftercare program.

The intensive outpatient program component includes an initial 12-week commitment, with services including 9 hours of therapy each week, including group therapy Monday-Wednesday, weekly individual counseling, parent and teen groups, parent groups, and family therapy.

The CSI-Houston has an on-site education program – Full time on-site, fully accredited school program offering credit recovery, advanced classes and special education services.

The Center for Success and Independence (TCSI) provides residential treatment and intensive outpatient services to adolescents age 12 to 17 who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, academic, and/or substance abuse problems. These problems are sometimes represented as anxiety, depression, defiance, school refusal, family conflict, self-harm behaviors or urges, aggression, substance use, running away, and/or trauma. We are a CARF-accredited program.

TCSI specializes in the treatment of teens with dual diagnoses and the implementation of our Dialectical Behavior Therapy program, designed specifically with adolescents in mind. We provide psychiatric and medical services through a staff that includes a board-certified psychiatrist, a licensed psychologist, licensed social workers and therapists, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

Our comprehensive approach to treatment has enabled us to reach teens that others have been unable to help or manage, making the Center a sought-after resource for parents and agencies desperately trying to help their teens.

CSI-Houston maintains CARF Accreditation

The CSI-Houston costs of treatment are determined based on the adolescent’s unique needs and personalized treatment plan to address those needs. Most private insurance plans, as well as self-payment are accepted.
