This month at Evart Youth Center we focused on Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Unfortunately this year due to COVID-19 we were unable to take the youth to the MLK Jr. March at the local university, however we were still able to celebrate it!
The youth worked together to create a poster board about MLK Jr. and watched the video of the “I have a dream” speech. The units were all given the opportunity to fill out their own “I have a dream” statement. The youth were given the task to write a simple paragraph of what that speech means to them at this point in their lives and were rewarded with ice cream sundaes!
