This month the Cosmetology Program at Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center hosted its own version of Shark Tank. This project was facilitated by the Cosmetology teacher, Ms. Shawna Clay. The teams were composed of 9 Cosmetology students. The competition was between Avalon Curling Iron and Reaper Styling Edge Control. The youth worked collaboratively to present their products and business plans in front of a panel of guest judges. Overall, both groups did excellent but Reaper Styling Edge Control sealed the deal as the judges were impressed with their preparation and research. All of the youth were praised for their participation and rewarded a special meal for their completion of the project.
