As a prelude to Black History Month here at Bledsoe Youth Academy we studied Martin Luther King Jr. for the month of January! During English the youth corrected a paragraph about Martin Luther King Jr.’s life, they also completed a reading comprehension assignment about his life and how he stood against racism and segregation. To emphasize that Martin Luther King stood for peace, the youth made peace doves. During the art project we discussed some of the major aspects of MLK’s life and what he stood for!
