Position Description

As a member of the treatment staff Individual will work with a team of seasoned professionals of a well renowned Juvenile Behavioral Treatment Facility with nationally acclaimed programs for at- risk youth and children in need facilitated by the juvenile justice system.

 

Professional Qualifications 
  • Individual must have the ability to communicate effectively with youth with varying challenges and treatment requirements. Experience in juvenile justice and/or child welfare systems a plus. Will consider entry level applicants for certain positions.
  • Ability to work with aggressive and traumatized youth, youth with mental health issues, and/or substance abuse issues in a trauma informed and culturally competent manner.
  • Must pass all criminal background and substance checks.
  • Exhibit professionalism and flexibility within a dynamic environment a must.
  • Ability to effectively use common sense and objectivity, while appropriately following policy and procedures.      

 

Educational Requirements

Minimum High school diploma. Currently pursuing higher education in social work or related fields a plus.
Position is well suited for long term career possibilities.

Youth Care Specialist Position Description

This direct care position supervises a group of youth through activities during their waking hours. Youth Care Workers guide and teach youth the internal controls needed to live responsibly.
